Make Batting Practice Fun!
Play Swings-N-Things One-On-One Hitting Challenge!

The Hitting Challenge is a great game to play when using the batting cages at Swings-N-Things
- and best of all it's FREE!

Here's how you play:

1. Choose any pitching machine you want - baseball or softball.
2. Players may hit against the same machine OR handicap the more experienced player & have one player hit vs. a faster machine!
     Great for parent vs. child or sibling vs. sibling.
     One round of pitches constitutes one inning.
3. Runners (imaginary) on base advance one base on a single, two bases on a double, etc.
4. Any ball hitting top net or concrete first is dead (0).  Any pitch taken (whether a strike or ball), swung and missed or fouled off is dead (0).
5. Runners advance only on base hits.
6. Scoring:
   
     Ball hitting net in front of pitching machines or roof over pitching machines on fly: SINGLE (1)
     Ball hitting perimeter net below horizontal yellow rail of fence on fly: SINGLE (1)
     Ball hitting perimeter net above horizontal yellow rail of fence on fly: DOUBLE (2)
     Ball hitting defined area (between two yellow vertical posts & below horizontal yellow rail
     of fence) of perimeter net in straight away centerfield: DOUBLE (2)
     Ball hitting center mast on fly: TRIPLE (3)
     Ball hitting defined area (between two yellow vertical posts & above horizontal yellow rail of fence) of
     perimeter net in straight away centerfield: HOMERUN (4)
    
7. NO CHARGE for Scorecards or game – just use tokens or your wristband to play!
8. Play as many or as few innings as you wish to make-up your game.
9. Make-up your own Hitting League – or just have fun with it!
